Political earthquake: Big rebellion in Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay’s party TVK, woman leader who reached High Court suspended from the party

A major internal crisis has arisen within the party ‘Tamiljha Vetri Kazhagam’ (TVK) of Thalapathy Vijay, who became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from the superstar of Tamil cinema and reached the top stage of politics. Taking strict disciplinary action, the party has completely expelled one of its senior woman officials and a lawyer by profession, M. Gyanasoundri, from the primary membership. This major action was taken when the woman leader had directly approached the Madras High Court, making serious allegations of corruption and bribery against the ministers of her own government and top leaders of the party. The party issued an official statement on Saturday confirming this expulsion and has instructed all its workers to keep distance from the said woman leader. Allegation of collusion with opposition: TVK leader N. Mohanraj made a big announcement of expulsion in the press conference, senior party leader N. While talking to the media, Mohanraj clarified that the primary membership of M. Gyanasoundari was canceled only on July 17, 2026, the formal announcement of which has been made on Saturday. Mohanraj alleged that the woman office-bearer had deliberately conspired to tarnish the clean image of the party by colluding with political rivals and opposition parties. Considering this as an extreme form of anti-party activities, the TVK leadership has relieved Gyanasoundri from all organizational posts in the organization and given a clear warning that no TVK member will establish any kind of political or personal contact with her in future. Claim of rigging in the recruitment of government lawyers: What is the whole truth of the petition filed in Madras High Court. This entire controversy started when lawyer Gyansoundari, who played an important role for the party in the assembly elections, had sensationally accused the big leaders of TVK of huge manipulation in the appointments of government lawyers (Government Pleaders) and demanding bribes. He had filed a PIL in the Madras High Court claiming that huge sums of money were being demanded in return for giving temporary appointments to lawyers in the state. However, during the hearing of the case, the Madras High Court took a strict stance and remarked that the allegations in the petition were greatly exaggerated, and the names of some ministers were included in the list only to attract media attention. Anti-corruption campaign gets a blow: New crisis comes amidst strict stand of Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay. This internal conflict of the party is being considered a big administrative and political blow for Chief Minister Thalapathy Vijay, because he had recently announced adopting a policy of zero-tolerance by issuing a statewide anti-corruption helpline number. Chief Minister Vijay had given strict instructions to his cabinet ministers that bribery will not be tolerated at any level. At such a time, raising the issue of corruption in the courtroom by the party’s own cadre was raising questions on the credibility of the newly formed TVK government, which is why the party has taken the strict step of immediately expelling it, calling it a well-planned propaganda by the opponents.
