Due to lack of road and bridge facilities in Savmarangbeda village of Adki block of Khunti district, a pregnant woman suffering from labor pain had to be carried on the shoulders of the villagers to cross the swollen Karkari river. After crossing the river, the woman was taken to Adki Community Health Centre, where she gave birth to the child safely.
