Congress President Kharge congratulated the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge congratulated Vijay and his party TVK on taking oath as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. “I convey my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to him, ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam’ and the entire progressive alliance,” he wrote in a post on Twitter.
The formation of this government reaffirms the enduring strength of ‘self-respect’, ‘social justice’, ’empowerment’ and ‘rational thinking’. These are values that have long defined the political and social consciousness of Tamil Nadu. This is the legacy that Periyar and Kamarajar forged. Lakhs of people in Tamil Nadu, especially the youth, have expressed their trust in TVK. I am confident that under his leadership these ideals will continue to guide governance and inspire the nation. I wish the new government immense success in serving the people with compassion, inclusivity and dedication.
