New Delhi, 29 September 2026: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that amidst changing technology, uncertain circumstances and geographical challenges, India should give special importance to strategic thinking and planning for contingencies at the grassroots level as part of its preparedness.
Addressing the Indian Naval Commanders' Conference in New Delhi today, Rajnath Singh had said that the Indian Navy is working as a strategic pillar to realize the resolution of 'Developed India' by the year 2047. He stressed that India's objective is clear: our preparedness should be so strong that the country is ready to face any crisis before it arises.
The Defense Minister had said that the ongoing 'Operation Energy Security' has once again proved the professional capability and operational readiness of the Indian Navy in protecting the country's energy supply lines and national interests. Shri Singh noted that the presence of the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean region and beyond is further strengthening India's maritime posture.
