Reliance Consumer Products Limited i.e. RCPL has now entered the ice cream market also. The company has launched a new ice cream brand named Bombay Creamery. Its price will start from ₹10.
Bombay Creamery's ice cream will be made from real dairy cream. The company has launched it in different formats like cone, cup, tub, bar and stick. Currently its sale is being started in Western India and soon there are plans to make it available in the entire country.
RCPL says it is positioning Bombay Creamery as a brand offering premium dairy experience at an affordable price. The company is entering this category for a long time with the help of its large distribution network, retail reach and consumer insights.
RCPL Director T. Krishnakumar said that Bombay Creamery has been designed with the idea that the real identity of dairy should be retained in the ice cream. The company claims that it wants to make ice cream made from real dairy cream available at a price that is within the reach of Indian families.
RCPL is entering the ice cream category for the first time with Bombay Creamery. The company is the FMCG unit of Reliance Industries and is expanding its presence in different consumer product categories.
