Molbio Diagnostics IPO Update: Goa-based diagnostics company Molbio Diagnostics Limited has set a price range of ₹768-₹807 per share for its ₹940 crore public offering (IPO). The company’s IPO will open on August 10 and close on August 12, 2026. The IPO will issue new shares worth up to ₹200 crore.
Additionally, an offer for sale (OFS) of 9.166 million equity shares with a face value of ₹1 will be made by existing shareholders. The company will now use the proceeds from the IPO for research and development and the purchase of new equipment at its Goa and Visakhapatnam facilities.
Temasek and Motilal Oswal investment
Founded in 2000, Molbio Diagnostics is a global point-of-care molecular diagnostics company that develops rapid diagnostic solutions for testing over 30 serious diseases. The research-based company is promoted by Chandrasekhar Iyer, Exora Trading LLP, and Sangeetha Sriram. The company also has investments from Singapore-based investment firm Temasek and India’s Motilal Oswal Private Equity Fund . The company’s shares are expected to be listed on the BSE and NSE on August 17.
Net profit doubled in two years
Molbio has experienced rapid growth over the past years. The company’s turnover was ₹841 crore in FY2024, which increased by 70% to ₹1455 crore in FY2026. Similarly, net profit increased by 97% from ₹83 crore to ₹164 crore, and EPS was ₹15. Molbio’s IPO is priced at ₹807 per share at a PE ratio of 55. The promoters’ stake in the company before the IPO was 46.65%, which will remain at 43% after the IPO.
