Restricted Routes: Mangala Ghat to Satapada, Khajuria to Brahmagiri Market Chhak
Puri: The Puri district administration has imposed temporary restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles in view of Debasnana Purnima and Mahaprabhu Alarnath’s Yatra.
As per the decision taken at the Debasnana Purnima preparatory meeting, Puri Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida has issued an order restricting the plying of heavy vehicles and goods carriers.
Restriction Details:
Period: June 30, 2026 to July 13, 2026
Timings: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily
Restricted Routes: Mangala Ghat to Satapada, Khajuria to Brahmagiri Market Chhak
The order has been issued under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Rule 173 of the Odisha Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993.The Regional Transport Office, Puri has requested the public and all heavy vehicle operators to use alternate routes during the restricted hours and cooperate with the administration to ensure smooth conduct of the festivals and manage traffic.
