Delhi: There was an encounter late night with the team of Rohini Special Staff, which had come to catch the criminals who were absconding after the murder of property dealer Pramod in Narela. During the press conference at Delhi Police Headquarters, Joint CP Vijay Singh said that under the supervision of DCP Shashank Jaiswal of Rohini district, special staff team led by Additional DCP Tanushree tried to stop three bike-riding suspects near Dahiya Badshah Marg located in Sector-23/24, but the miscreants tried to escape. When the police team surrounded the road, the bike went out of control and fell. After this the accused opened fire on the police team. To protect themselves, the team first fired two warning shots in the air. Despite this, when the firing continued, the police retaliated. In the encounter, Deepak Kumar alias Deep Pehalwan and Nitik were injured by bullets. All three accused were controlled. A minor is also included in these.
Teams were continuously searching after the murder
In fact, on the morning of September 3, property dealer Pramod was shot dead on the road near a gym in village Bakner of Narela. Several empty cartridges were recovered from the spot. Seeing the seriousness of the case, many teams from Outer North and Rohini districts had started searching for the accused. Teams of Sonipat Police of Haryana were also searching for the accused along with Delhi Police.
The police maintained constant contact and coordination with the concerned police authorities of Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. Meanwhile, Rohini Special Staff received information on the night of 8 September that three accused involved in the murder were going to come towards Sector-23/24 on a bike with illegal weapons.
Special staff laid the trap
Based on the information, a team of Rohini Special Staff led by Inspector Sandeep Godara under the supervision of ACP Operations Ajmer Singh laid siege. The team comprising SI Karambir, SI Parveen, Head Constable Manjeet, Head Constable Yashpal, Head Constable Atul, Head Constable Amarjeet, Head Constable Prakash, Head Constable Amit and Female Head Constable Anita saw three youths coming on a Splendor bike at night. The police signaled them to stop, but they started running the bike. The police team chased and blocked the road. While trying to escape, the bikers fell on the road. After this the accused started firing on the police.
Miscreants fired 11 bullets, police fired 6 rounds
According to the police, 11 rounds were fired at the police team by the miscreants. In response, the police team fired a total of 6 rounds. During the encounter, two accused were injured by bullets. After controlling all three, they were sent to the hospital. Police have recovered three illegal pistols and four live cartridges from the possession of the accused. Shells of 11 empty bullets fired by the miscreants were also recovered from the spot. The black Splendor motorcycle used in the murder has also been seized by the police.
There was a reward of Rs 50-50 thousand on two miscreants.
The arrested accused include 24-year-old Nitik, resident of Jauli, Gohana, Sonipat and 25-year-old Deepak Kumar alias Deep Pehalwan, resident of Charkhi Dadri, Haryana. A reward of Rs 50-50 thousand was announced on the arrest of both of them. According to the police, Nitik has already been involved in two Arms Act cases. The third accused has been caught as CCL 'M' as he is a minor. According to Rohini Police, this action has resulted in significant success in the investigation of Narela property dealer murder case. The police is now interrogating the accused and trying to find out the reason for the murder, other people involved in the crime and the source of the weapons.
