Rooftop bars in Vietnam’s two largest cities to watch National Day fireworks

Perched on the 23rd floor of the Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel, Hey Bar offers sweeping views of the Ho Chi Minh City skyline from the heart of the city.

As the highest rooftop bar on Dong Khoi Street, Hai Bar features a modern, airy setting with expansive windows overlooking landmarks including Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the City People’s Committee building, the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon River and Ba Son Bridge.

Beyond its views, Hai Bar at 88 Dong Khoi Street offers 23 signature cocktails inspired by Vietnamese ingredients and spirits, making it a suitable setting for dates, gatherings with friends or a celebratory National Day toast.

Ho Chi Minh City will stage high- and low-altitude fireworks displays at seven locations from 9 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 2.

High-altitude fireworks will light up areas near Thu Thiem Tunnel in An Khanh Ward, Binh Duong New City in Binh Duong Ward, and Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward.

Low-altitude displays will take place at four sites: Saigon Marina IFC Tower in Saigon Ward, Dam Sen Theme Park in Binh Thoi Ward, Kim Long Villa residential area in Nha Be Ward, and Ba Ria Park Square in Ba Ria Ward.
