LPG Cylinder Price Today 15 August 2026: There has been a huge reduction in the prices of LPG cylinders for two consecutive months. Earlier on August 1, the price of commercial LPG cylinder was reduced to Rs 209. At the same time, on July 1, a huge fall of Rs 179 was recorded in the price of commercial LPG cylinder.
However, today on August 15 (Independence Day), no new change or fall has been seen in the prices of LPG cylinders. Today, LPG cylinder prices across the country remain at the level fixed on August 1. Let us know what are the latest cylinder rates in different major cities of the country.

According to the new rates implemented across the country from August 1, gas cylinders are being available even today on August 15.
For example, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 951 in Thiruvananthapuram. At the same time, in Thiruvananthapuram itself, the rate of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder remains at Rs 2,774.
Domestic LPG cylinder prices were increased twice
Let us tell you that due to global conditions and the ongoing war between Iran-Israel-America, there was a big jump in the prices of crude oil and gas in the international market. Due to this pressure, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) had increased the prices of domestic LPG cylinders twice in recent months.
Domestic cylinder prices were increased for the first time on March 7, when they were increased by Rs 60 per cylinder. After this, the prices were increased for the second time in the month of June, due to which the domestic cylinder became costlier by Rs 29.
Government changed the rules of LPG booking and delivery
Due to the Iran-Israel war, the Central Government has made a major change in the rules of gas booking to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG gas cylinders within the country.
According to the new rules, now it is mandatory to have a gap of at least 25 days for refill booking of LPG cylinder in cities, whereas in rural areas this time limit has been fixed at 45 days. That means customers will not be able to book the cylinder again before this stipulated period.
Apart from this, to stop black marketing of LPG in the market, the government has made the entire process of booking and delivery completely OTP based system. Now without entering the correct OTP, neither a new cylinder will be booked nor delivery of the cylinder at home will be possible.
