Patna. A major process regarding Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural has moved forward in Bihar. Under the scheme, a preliminary list of 1 crore 4 lakh 90 thousand 743 potential beneficiaries has been prepared. Now this list will be placed before the Gram Sabha, where it will be approved after checking the eligibility.
The list will be approved by 30th September
The target has been set to present the prepared list in the Gram Sabha and get it approved by 30th September. After this, people's objections and complaints will be investigated. After all the processes are completed, there is a plan to prepare the final priority list by October 31.
However, it is not certain that all the people included in the initial list will get the housing benefit. It is expected that about 40 percent names will be removed during eligibility verification.
These people will not get benefits
Families who already have permanent houses, more than two rooms, motor vehicles or certain specified agricultural equipment will be excluded from the scheme. Families with monthly income more than Rs 15,000, government jobs, paying income tax/business tax and families having land more than the prescribed limit will also not be eligible.
The final list will be public
The final list of beneficiaries will be displayed on the notice boards and public places of the Panchayat. Apart from this, it will also be made available on the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural. With this, rural families will be able to easily see their names and eligibility status.
