Gold & Silver For Odisha Para Shuttler Pramod Bhagat At Japan International 2026; Deep & Kuldeep Bag Bronze

Bhubaneswar: The legend of Pramod Bhagat keeps growing.

Odisha’s ace para shuttler clinched another gold medal at the Japan Para Badminton International 2026, winning the Men’s Singles SL3 title.

Bhagat, who has won more than 40 gold medals in international meets including Paralympics and World Championships, beat fellow-Indian Umesh Vikram Kumar 21-16, 21-8 in the final on Sunday.

Bhagat, however, had to settle for silver in Men’s Doubles SL3-SU5 after he and Sukant Kadam went down 5-21, 15-21 to Indonesia’s Hikmat Ramdani and Leani Ratri Oktila.

Odisha had more to cheer for as Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Kuldeep Mahakul secured bronze medal in Men’s Doubles SL3-SU5.
