Shubhendu government’s action, punishment fell on these employees in Bengal

Kolkata. After the formation of the new government in West Bengal, a period of major changes has started at the administrative level. Taking an important decision, the government led by Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has issued an order to remove all nominated members, directors and chairmen working in non-statutory bodies, boards and public undertakings with immediate effect.

After the order issued by the Home and Hill Affairs Department of the State Government, the stir in the administrative circles has intensified. It is believed that this decision is part of the government’s larger administrative restructuring campaign.

Services of nominated officers terminated

In the order issued by the government, it has been clearly stated that the services of all the officials working on nominated basis are terminated immediately. This order will be applicable in various boards, corporations and public undertakings of the state. According to the report, the government is taking steps towards implementing transparency and new working style in the administrative structure.

Action will also be taken against those above 60 years of age

The government has also decided to remove those officers who were serving extension or reappointment after completing the age of retirement. According to the order, now all such extensions and reappointments will be considered terminated with immediate effect. This decision is being seen as a sign of major changes in the state administration.

Many big decisions in the first cabinet meeting

Many important decisions were also taken in the first cabinet meeting of the new government. Instructions have been given to start the process of providing necessary land to BSF to strengthen the border security. The Chief Minister has asked the Land and Revenue Department to complete the entire process within 45 days.

Preparation to implement central schemes rapidly

The government has also decided to implement Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state. Along with this, instructions have been given to start the process of speedy implementation of many central schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, PM Shri Yojana, Vishwakarma Yojana, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao and Ujjwala Yojana. District officials have been asked to send the pending applications to the Central Government soon.
