New Delhi. Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi met Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday. Sonia Gandhi reached Lalu Yadav's residence in Delhi to know his well being. During this, talks took place between the two leaders. Regarding the meeting, RJD leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav said that Lalu Prasad Yadav has come to Delhi for regular health checkup.
He said that Sonia Gandhi was informed about this on Sunday, after which she went to meet Lalu Yadav on Monday. Tejashwi Yadav said, “Lalu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi have supported each other in adverse circumstances. Both have a long standing relationship.”
What did Tejashwi say on the unity of INDIA alliance?
Regarding INDIA alliance, Tejashwi Yadav said that not only in Bihar, but opposition parties across the country will have to face challenges with strength. He stressed on opposition unity, saying, “Unless we are united, we will not win the battle.”
