Located northeast of Nha Trang in central Vietnam, Ninh Van Bay is famous for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful rock formations.
Because it is accessible only by boat, the bay offers a high level of privacy, making it one of Southeast Asia’s most desirable coastal escapes.
Palladium will renovate the existing L’Alya Ninh Van Bay resort into a project with 54 standalone villas to welcome guests in mid-2027.
In contrast to the quiet beaches of Ninh Van Bay, the group’s second project brings a rich history to the streets of Hanoi. This project focuses on restoring the iconic Hoa Binh Hotel right in the heart of the capital.
According to the hotel’s website, it started in the late 19th century as a popular French gathering spot before being rebuilt between 1917 and 1918 into a classic two-story colonial hotel for high-society guests.
Set to reopen in 2028 as BLESS Hotel Hanoi, a major redesign will upgrade the building from a three-star hotel into a luxury five-star boutique property.
Vietnam was chosen for Palladium’s Asian debut due to its rapid tourism growth and strategic location, a choice CEO Jesús Sobrino described to TTG Asia as a careful decision.
He noted that travelers today value unique experiences over mass growth, which plays directly into the group’s strengths.
Founded in the late 1960s in Spain, Palladium Hotel Group has grown into an international hospitality brand with over 50 properties and 16,000 rooms across Europe and the Americas, including Spain, Italy, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Brazil.
Palladium is not the only international giant expanding its footprint in the country.
French giant Accor will partner with Sun Group to develop more than 5,300 hotel rooms across the country over the next five years.
British group IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a deal with local developer Meraki Land to open two luxury properties in 2029 and 2030, according to its website.
