Swine flu knocks in Moga district of Punjab, health department on alert after receiving 3 new positive cases.

Moga. The threat of swine flu (H1N1) has once again increased in Moga district of Punjab. After receiving positive reports of three new patients in this district, the health department has come on full alert mode. The biggest relief is that the condition of all three patients remains stable at present. To prevent further spread of the infection, health department teams have started door-to-door survey in the affected areas so that people with suspicious symptoms can be identified.

Swine flu figure crosses 220 in Punjab

Let us tell you that in the months of August and September this year, there has been a rise in cases of swine flu in different parts of Punjab. A total of 1,513 suspected infected patients have been examined here since January, out of which 220 people have been found positive. If we talk about the situation in Moga, after the arrival of three new cases here, the total number of swine flu cases in Moga district has reached 11. In Punjab, the maximum impact of swine flu has been seen in Ludhiana with 72 cases and in SAS Nagar Mohali, 36 cases have been seen. After this comes Patiala at number 16 and Jalandhar at number 10.

Health department preparations and guidelines

Following the instructions of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, special flu corners and isolation wards have been activated in government hospitals across the state. Doctors have appealed to people to take necessary precautions to avoid this infectious disease. If anyone has high fever, persistent cough, sore throat or difficulty in breathing, immediately contact the nearest government hospital. Use a mask in crowded areas, cover the mouth while coughing or sneezing and clean hands with soap or sanitizer from time to time.
