Team India is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka this month. The Indian team will play a two-match Test series on this tour, starting on August 15th. The team is scheduled to fly to Sri Lanka soon. Prior to this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a significant decision.
According to a report by sports website Sportstar, Tanush Kotian, Harsh Dubey, and Vipraaj Nigam are also scheduled to travel to Sri Lanka. These three spin all-rounders will travel with the team as net bowlers. Their inclusion on the Sri Lanka tour has led to speculation that they are under the selectors’ scrutiny and could potentially be included in the Indian Test team in the future.
Tanush and Harsh await Test debut
Mumbai off-spin all-rounder Tanush was included in the Indian team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in December 2024 after Ravichandran Ashwin’s retirement. However, he did not receive a chance to debut. Harsh Dubey was recently selected in Team India for the one-off Test against Afghanistan. He too did not get the chance to make his Test debut. Manav Suthar was handed the debut cap ahead of him, taking 7 wickets and winning the Player of the Match award.

Following this, he earned a chance to play for India A on the Sri Lanka tour, where he shone with both bat and ball.
