Google Cloud India MD Shashikumar Sreedharan Resigns: There has been an important change in the top management of Google Cloud India. Sasikumar Sridharan, managing director of the company, has resigned from his post to pursue other external opportunities. Following Sreedharan’s resignation, Google Cloud has appointed Amit Kumar as the interim (interim) leader of India operations. Senior company officials officially confirmed the major leadership change on Wednesday.
The information about this change was given by the President of Google Cloud Asia-Pacific (APAC) Karan Bajwa by sharing a special post on the social media platform LinkedIn. Appreciating Sasikumar Sreedharan’s contribution to Moot Me, Karan Bajwa wrote, “Our momentum in India has never been stronger, accelerating business capability and AI development across the market. As we move into the next phase of development, I personally thank Sasikumar Sreedharan, who is leading the way in new opportunities.”
Sridharan’s successful journey with Google Cloud
Sasikumar Sridharan held several important responsibilities at home and abroad during his tenure with Google Cloud. He initially took over as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. He was then made the Managing Director of Google Cloud in India and was given the key responsibility of the business and operations of the entire Indian market, which he successfully handled.
Amit Kumar will now lead the Indian operations
Amit Kumar will now manage the operations of Google Cloud in India, replacing Sasikumar Sreedharan. Amit Kumar was previously serving as Managing Director of Digital Natives at the company. According to Karan Bajwa, after Amit Kumar takes over this interim charge, the company’s main focus will be to maintain and build on its current successful momentum in the Indian market.

With this new change, Google Cloud has reiterated its commitment to further accelerate its growth agenda in India. Expressing full confidence in Amit Kumar’s abilities, Karan Bajwa added, “Our goal is very clear: to continue our incredible momentum.
