Guwahati: A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Guwahati, the capital of Assam. Let us tell you, a 22 year old student died under suspicious circumstances in a homestay located on the outskirts of the city. After this incident, the student's family has made sensational allegations. The family says that their daughter was first gang-raped and then murdered.
Where did this incident happen?
According to the information, this incident took place in Garal area of Guwahati. The student was found unconscious in a homestay on Saturday morning. The staff immediately took him to the nearest health center, from where he was referred to Guwahati Medical College. But the doctors in the hospital declared him dead. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
Father accused
Let us tell you, the father of the deceased alleged that there were injuries at many places on his daughter's body and marks of being tied with a rope. He says that the marks clearly show that he was tortured a lot. The father said that this is not just murder but a premeditated cruelty. The family also told the complete sequence of the incident. According to the father, his daughter had left home at 5 pm on Friday evening saying that she was going to have dinner with friends. At 10 pm she called her mother and said that it was late so she would stay with her friend in the hostel.
'They will kill me'
After this, at around 2 o'clock in the night, the daughter again called her mother and said in panic that she was being beaten badly. As soon as he said this the phone got disconnected. The family claims that in another call received after midnight, the daughter had said that they would kill her and after that her phone was snatched away. Police have arrested the student's 26-year-old alleged lover Asif Ali in this case. During interrogation, the accused claimed that the student had committed suicide.
Awaiting post mortem report
Guwahati West DCP Bolin Deori has rejected the claim of the accused. He said that the statement cannot be trusted. In the initial investigation, it seems to be a case of murder. No blood marks were found from the spot, the owner and staff of the homestay are being interrogated. The real cause of death will be revealed only after the post mortem report comes.
