The litmus test of BJP ministers, which veteran will take over the OBC forts?

Lucknow. Bharatiya Janata Party, which is preparing for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027, is now working on the strategy of fielding big faces of the organization and government directly in the election field. There is discussion within the party that members of the Legislative Council, several ministers with independent charge and ministers of state may contest the assembly elections. The biggest strategy of the Bharatiya Janata Party is considered to be to further strengthen its hold among the OBCs and influential caste groups.

According to sources, leaders like Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Bhupendra Chaudhary, Minister Dara Singh Chauhan, Swatantra Dev Singh, AK Sharma and State Bharatiya Janata Party President Pankaj Chaudhary can be given bigger responsibilities in their areas of social influence. Along with this, brainstorming is going on on the strategy of fielding independent charge and state ministers in the election field on caste basis.

Bharatiya Janata Party does not want to take any risk in preparation for 2027

After the results of Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be in no mood to take any political risk in Uttar Pradesh. The party leadership wants that the leaders who hold senior positions in the government and organization should go among the public and prove their political strength. In such a situation, in the coming days, many big faces of the Bharatiya Janata Party can be seen making possible preparations for the assembly elections.

Now the focus will be on how effective this ‘Mantri Maidan Mein’ formula of Bharatiya Janata Party proves to be and whether this strategy of harnessing the OBC vote bank can give a new advantage to the party in the election battle of 2027.

Big message will start from Keshav Maurya

The biggest political challenge and opportunity for the Bharatiya Janata Party is both about Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya. He lost the election from Sirathu seat in the 2022 assembly elections, but the party retained him in the government. The Bharatiya Janata Party is now projecting him as one of the biggest faces of OBC politics. If Keshav contests the election and wins, its direct message will go to the non-Yadav backward classes of the state.

Responsibility of Purvanchal on Dara Singh Chauhan and Swatantra Dev

Dara Singh Chauhan is seen as an influential leader of backward classes in Purvanchal. Whereas Swatantra Dev Singh is considered to have influence in Bundelkhand and backward classes. Bharatiya Janata Party believes that social equations can be further strengthened by fielding these leaders directly in the electoral battle.

Bhupendra Chaudhary and A.K. Sharma keeping an eye on West and Purvanchal

Bhupendra Choudhary is a strong face of the party among Jats and other influential classes in western Uttar Pradesh. Whereas A.K. Sharma is considered the main face of organization and development politics in Purvanchal. Bharatiya Janata Party can try to create regional balance by keeping these two leaders at the center of the election campaign.

Focus on OBC vote bank by putting Pankaj Chaudhary forward

The influence of Union Minister and State Bharatiya Janata Party President Pankaj Chaudhary is considered among the backward classes. Bharatiya Janata Party assesses that if big leaders of the OBC community are directly fielded in the election field, then the edge of the opposition’s PDA campaign can be weakened.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s new move in response to Samajwadi Party’s PDA

While the Samajwadi Party is busy strengthening social alliances through PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority), the Bharatiya Janata Party now wants to give a new political message by putting forward big faces from the backward classes. This is the reason why the efforts to activate ministers and MLC leaders among the public have intensified much before the elections.

Bharatiya Janata Party’s strategy is not limited to just fielding leaders. The party is preparing to strengthen the organization till the booth level, reach out to the beneficiary class and make the schemes of the Central and State Government an election issue. The party believes that with the help of strong organization, active worker network and social representation, it can maintain its lead in 2027.
