There will be a ban on giving petrol and diesel to these people in 4 districts of Haryana.

Following the strictness of the Air Quality Management Commission, Automatic Number Plate Regression (ANPR) cameras will be installed at petrol pumps operating in 14 districts of the state falling in the National Capital Region (NCR). After this, from October 1, oil will not be available without Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC). There will be a ban on providing oil to petrol and diesel vehicles whose expiry date has been completed. In the first phase, this scheme will be implemented in 4 cities adjacent to Delhi. After this it will be started in the remaining cities.

Strict steps are being taken to deal with air pollution in Delhi-NCR. 2780 petrol pumps have been identified in 14 districts included in NCR. On the instructions of the Air Quality Management Commission, the Transport Department has entrusted the responsibility of installing the cameras to Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (Hartron). Hartron has prepared a proposal worth about Rs 177 crore to install 5000 ANPR cameras at petrol pumps.

Cameras will be installed at petrol pumps by 30 September
The numbers of all the vehicles will be added to the vehicle software. Cameras will be installed at petrol pumps of NCR till September 30. When vehicles without PUCC or expired vehicles enter the petrol pump, the camera will capture the number plates of the vehicles concerned. The model of such vehicles will be displayed and announced on the big screen even before filling oil at the petrol pumps. Oil will not be given to vehicles that have completed their expiry date and the department will continue to prepare the details of such vehicles. The concerned drivers will be given a message to get their vehicles scrapped. Such vehicles can be confiscated by the traffic police in NCR cities and sent for scrap.

Will start from Faridabad, Sonipat, Gurugram and Jhajjar
NCR in the state includes Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonipat, Rewari, Jhajjar, Nuh (Mewat), Palwal, Panipat, Mahendragarh, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jind and Karnal districts. Faridabad, Sonipat, Gurugram and Jhajjar are nearest to Delhi. Preparations are on to implement the scheme by first installing cameras on the pumps operating in these four cities.
