Patna. There will now be changes in the work area of the employees who have been handling the same responsibilities for a long time in the municipal bodies of Bihar. The Urban Development and Housing Department has implemented the rotation system and directed all the municipal bodies to take necessary action.
Under this decision, such employees will be identified who have been working at the same desk or charge for more than three years continuously. They will be assigned other responsibility or different work.
Why was the decision taken?
The department believes that giving the same responsibility to an employee for a long time can affect the transparency and fairness in the office system. Therefore, it is necessary to change the work of employees from time to time. The objective of the new system is to promote transparency, accountability and better administration in functioning.
The rules will apply to these
Employees who have been holding the same desk or charge in Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayats for more than three years have been kept within the scope of this rotation. The concerned officials have been asked to prepare a list of such employees and change their responsibilities.
Report will have to be given within a week
The Urban Development and Housing Department has directed all concerned bodies to take action on the order on priority basis. After completing the rotation process, the report will have to be sent to the department within a week. This move of the government is expected to lead to a fresh distribution of responsibilities in municipal offices. Also, there will be a change in the work area of the employees who have been working at the same post or desk for a long time.
