These railway players did wonders! 39 got big honour, Lucknow division's name shines with international medals

Lucknow, Read: The sportspersons and employees of North Eastern Railway Lucknow Division have brought glory to the division at the national and international level by performing brilliantly in various sports in the year 2025-26. On this achievement, DRM Gaurav Aggarwal on Friday honored 30 players and 09 coaches and managers with the “Divisional Railway Manager Award for Excellence in Sports”. During this, ADRM Infra Bhuvanesh Singh, ADRM Operations Neetu and Divisional Sports Officer Dhananjay Mishra were present.

Among the international medal winners, athlete Nandini Gupta won gold at the Senior Nationals, bronze at the Asian Championships and gold at the Inter Railways. In handball, Jyoti Shukla won bronze at the 19th Asian Games and Asian Women's Championship, Asha Rani won bronze at the Asian Championship and wrestler Mansi won bronze at the Senior World Wrestling in Albania.

At the national level, in wrestling, Ankush, Arshad, Manish won gold and Ram Asare Yadav won bronze, in Kabaddi, Pravesh and Amit Nagar won gold, in weightlifting, Usha won gold, Bhavana won silver and Anjali Joshi and Veer Jeet Kaur won bronze. 10 in cricket, Sunny Prakash Singh in football, Rohan Yadav, Monica Chaudhary, Dimple Singh in athletics, Rahul Shah in badminton and Sachin Tripathi in swimming were also honoured. Chandra Vijay Singh, Arvind Pandey, Swati Singh and others were included in the 9 coaches.
