Those who reduce sugar and lose weight beware, fake Mounjaro is being made in Gurugram
Diabetes and increasing weight have become the problem of every family these days. To reduce this problem, some medicines and injections are also available which are widely used. One such injection is Monjaro which is used for sugar control and weight loss. Now some criminal type of people are also misusing this demand. A drug smuggling racket running inside a society in Gurugram, Haryana has been busted. These people were making fake Monjaro injections in the society flat and selling it at Indiamart. Now the police have arrested two people.
Narcotics Control Officer Amandeep Chauhan said on Monday that a nationwide alert has been issued to detect fake injections and investigation is underway to expose the entire network including all those involved in this gang. He said that a team of Haryana Health Department on Monday raided a society located in Sector 62 and arrested two people including the main accused.

How was the gang doing?
According to initial investigation, the accused used to make fake injections of Mounjaro by importing raw medicines from China. The entire gang was being run from a flat in the society. The officer alleged that the accused used to supply these illegal injections through B2B portal Indiamart. Let us tell you that Monjaro is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes, which helps in controlling blood sugar and helps in weight loss.

Amindeep Chauhan said, ‘We had received information about a gang making and supplying fake injections in Gurugram and based on this information we conducted the raid.’ He said that on Saturday the team had recovered injections worth Rs 70 lakh from a vehicle in DLF Phase 4. Officials said that while investigating the case, the team on Monday raided a flat located in Sector 62, where injections were being prepared by mixing raw medicine with water. He said, ‘The work of packaging, pasting barcodes and labeling was being done in the same flat. The team has also recovered packaging machines.

Supplier (deliveryman) Muzzamil from DLF Phase 4 was arrested, later the main accused Avi Sharma was also taken into custody. He said, ‘Muzzamil is from Uttar Pradesh while Avi is from Gurugram. The accused had prepared these injections in their flat. An alert has been issued across the country regarding these injections. Batch numbers have also been shared so that health department teams can remain alert and detect fake injections.
He said, ‘The entire network is being investigated to find out from where the fake injections were being supplied and how many people are involved in this gang.’ Medicine seller Rajesh Goyal said that taking advantage of the increasing demand for medicines, fake injections are being brought in the market. According to experts, such fake injections can cause serious health problems.
