Knews Desk- Comedian Samay Raina’s troubles have increased. The Supreme Court has adopted a strict stance in the case related to the ‘India’s Got Latent’ controversy and has imposed a fine on him. The court said that at the time Raina did not follow the court’s instructions and presented wrong information before the court.

The Supreme Court took action and imposed a fine on comedian Samay Raina during the hearing on Tuesday. The Court remarked that he did not take the court proceedings seriously and tried to mislead the Court with his statements.

The bench said in a strict tone that it is necessary to follow the instructions of the Supreme Court and no person can be allowed to undermine the dignity of the court.

What is the whole matter?

This matter is on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ Is connected to. It is alleged that during the show, objectionable comments were made about disabled people and people affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). After this, the controversy regarding this matter increased and the matter reached the Supreme Court.

Earlier, the court had given instructions to Samay Raina to publicly apologize and raise funds for the welfare of disabled people.

CJI reprimanded

During the hearing of the case, a bench headed by Chief Justice (CJI) Surya Kant reprimanded Samay Raina. The bench said that it does not understand why the youth consider such people as their idols. The court expressed concern over this entire matter and made strong remarks.

order to deposit fine

The Supreme Court had initially imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on Samay Raina. However, later on his appeal the amount was reduced to Rs 3 lakh. The court has also directed them to deposit the fine within the stipulated time and file an affidavit regarding compliance.

The court has clearly said that further strict legal action can be taken if the orders are not followed.
