Tezzbuzz Desk – There is often a lot of enthusiasm among people regarding the programs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now an initiative has been taken to make people's entry digital in PM Modi's program to be held in Vadodara, Gujarat. For the first time, the facility of free digital registration through BookMyShow was started for this program to be held on Tuesday. Within just an hour of opening of registration, all the seats in the program were booked.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) used this private digital platform for registration of people. As soon as the registration started, a large number of people applied and within no time all the seats were filled. Even after the registration is closed, more than 42 thousand people are said to be in the waiting list. From this, people's enthusiasm about PM Modi's program can be gauged.
People registered in the program will be provided digital M-Ticket on their BookMyShow account. The ticket will have a live QR code, after scanning which entry into the venue will be granted. The entire process of registration, verification, entry and seating has been kept digital. Its objective is to speed up the entry process as well as handle large crowds in an organized manner.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Vadodara on Tuesday. Here he will lay the foundation stone of several development projects, inaugurate various projects and dedicate them to the nation. After this he will also address a meeting.
The major projects that PM Modi will dedicate to the nation include three important sections of the 326 km long Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), developed at a cost of more than Rs 20,700 crore. These include Sanand (North)-Makarpura, New Umargaon-New Saphale and New Saphale-Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) sections.
With the commencement of these sections, there will be direct rail connectivity to JNPA. This is expected to speed up the movement of goods related to import and export, strengthen connectivity between industrial centers and ports and reduce the cost of freight transportation. It will also help in reducing the pressure on Mumbai's rail network.
After the operationalization of these sections, the entire network of dedicated freight corridors (DFC) of the country will become operational.
