Amroha: A very sad case has come to light from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. A high school student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in a village in Gajraula area. The family alleges that a youth from the village had been harassing the student for a long time and used to follow her while going to school. Police have registered a case against two real brothers in this case. The main accused has been arrested.
The family alleges that a young man named Nayyum of the village was harassing the student for a long time. It is alleged that he used to follow her and molest her while going to school and returning from there. The student was upset with this behavior and told the whole story to her family.
Trouble continued even after complaint
The family members say that they had also complained to Nayyum’s brother Nasir about the harassment of the student. It is alleged that instead of listening to the complaint, Nasir abused and threatened the family members. The family claims that even after the complaint, the harassment of the student did not stop. Amidst constant stress and trouble, the student hanged herself in her house. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was an outcry in the family.
Police registered a case
On receiving information about the death of the student, Gajraula police station reached the spot. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of family members, the police have registered a case against Nayyum and his brother Nasir. Police have arrested the main accused Nayyum, while the search is on for the second accused Nasir.
Further action will be taken after investigation
According to SP Amroha Lakhan Singh Yadav, the police is taking action in the matter. Police are investigating all aspects related to the incident and further action will be taken based on the available evidence. At present the police is waiting for the post mortem report and the facts to emerge in the investigation. Officials say that further legal action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the case.
