Upcoming SUV: The Mahindra Scorpio N has remained one of the company’s most popular SUVs since its launch in the Indian market in 2022. Mahindra is now working on a facelifted model, which has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. Recently, test mules of the SUV were spotted with almost no camouflage, revealing several key details about its design and features.
When will it launch?
Mahindra hasn’t yet officially confirmed the launch date of the 2026 Scorpio N Facelift. However, media reports suggest the company could unveil it around August 15, 2026. Last year, Mahindra unveiled its Vision S Concept on this date, so it’s likely that the new Scorpio N Facelift will also feature updates from that concept.
Minor changes to the exterior:
Based on spy images, the overall design of the new Scorpio N Facelift will remain similar to the current model. Newly designed alloy wheels are expected, while the front retains the double-barrel LED headlights, chrome-finished fog lamps, and the existing grille. The SUV’s rear profile is also not expected to undergo any major changes.
Interior and Features
The biggest changes are expected to be in the cabin of the new Scorpio N Facelift. Revealed images indicate that its dashboard layout will be inspired by the Mahindra Thar Roxx. It is likely to feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Additionally, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera were also spotted during testing. It’s worth noting that the current Scorpio N doesn’t offer a 360-degree camera. The new SUV could also include features like ventilated front seats, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and an improved premium audio system.
Engine changes are unlikely.
Mechanical changes are unlikely for the Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift. The SUV is expected to feature the same 2.0-liter mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-liter mHawk turbo-diesel engines as the current model. Transmission options are likely to remain the same, with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
The new Scorpio N Facelift is likely to focus more on features and technology than design, making it a more premium and competitive SUV in its segment.
