Vaibhav Sooryavanshi: Not only in India but also in world cricket, the person who is in the news the most at the moment is 15-year-old young left-handed batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Vaibhav is standing on the threshold of creating history. The Indian team will play a series of 2 T20I matches on Ireland tour this month. After this, a series of 5 T20 matches will be played on England tour. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been included in Team India’s squad for both these T20 series. The biggest eye in both these T20 series is the young left-handed batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Different rules will apply for Vaibhav on the England tour. Actually, he will be given a different changing look from the rest of the players of Team India.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi will not be able to share dressing form with Team India due to ICC rules

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is only 15 years old, so some different rules will apply for him. According to a report in ‘The Guardian’, ICC and ECB’s ‘child safeguarding’ rules will be applicable regarding Vaibhav. According to this child safety rule, players aged 16 years or younger are not allowed to use the dressing room with their senior teammates. Because of this rule, a separate changing room will be provided to Vaibhav Suryavanshi, where he can change his jersey. Due to this rule, Vaibhav will be given a separate changing room to change his jersey at all the 5 venues in England where T20 matches will be played.

Vaibhav will get separate changing room even during Ireland tour

This rule of ICC will also be implemented on the Ireland tour. World news agency Reuters has confirmed this with the official statement of Cricket Ireland spokesperson, that Vaibhav will be made available in a different changing form in Ireland too.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be present during the team meeting

However, this rule will be applicable only at the time of jersey change before and after the match. During the match, Vaibhav will be present in the main dressing room with his senior players during team meetings or strategic discussions. There will be no restriction on this.

Vaibhav’s parents will stay in the team hotel only

After Vaibhav Suryavanshi was selected for the tour of Ireland and England, BCCI had decided to send his parents also along with him. Vaibhav is still young, hence BCCI had taken this decision. His parents will also stay in the team hotel. Team India will play under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. Iyer will take charge of the T20 team for the first time. In such a situation, apart from Vaibhav, attention will also be on Shreyas Iyer in both these T20 series. The first T20 match between India and Ireland will be played on 26 June. Whereas the second T20 match will be played on June 28. After this, the T20 series between India and England will start from July 1. A series of 5 T20 matches will be played between the two teams. If Vaibhav gets a chance to debut in this series, he will create history. Vaibhav will become the youngest player to play international cricket for India. He will break Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Sachin Tendulkar played his first international match at the age of 16 years, 205 days. Whereas Vaibhav will make this record at the age of 15 years and 71 days.
