For the second time in three days, a donor heart was transported to Ahmedabad for transplant on this train. For this operation, the Vande Bharat Express was specifically stopped at Ankleshwar railway station to ensure the donor heart could be delivered to the train on time. According to reports, the donor heart was removed from Smt. Jayaben Modi Multi-Specialty Hospital in Ankleshwar. It was then immediately transported to the railway station. The local police created a green corridor from the hospital to the railway station, ensuring the donor heart reached the station on time without traffic disruption.
According to railway officials, this is the second time in three days that a donor heart has been transported to Ahmedabad by the Vande Bharat Express. Earlier, a heart was also sent from Surat for transplant by the same train. Timely delivery of the donor heart is very important for the success of the transplant. In such a situation, the Vande Bharat Express is proving to be a fast and reliable medium. Earlier on Friday also, a donor heart was transported from Surat to Ahmedabad by the Vande Bharat Express. A green corridor was created on the train and city roads to cover the distance of about 250 kilometers. The timely arrival of the heart helped in the transplant of a critical heart patient.
