Vietnam Boat Tragedy: A tragic accident occurred in South Vietnam. A boat returning from an island capsized in the sea. 15 Indian tourists died in this tragic accident. According to reports, a speedboat carrying tourists capsized near Hoan Me Rut Ngoi Island near Phu Quoc Island. There were 32 Indian tourists on board this boat, while four crew members were also on board. The boat capsized about 400 meters from Hoan Me Rut Ngoi island, located near Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island. At the same time, after this incident, rescue operation is going on there.

At the same time, after this incident, relief and rescue work was intensified. Border Guard, Navy, Coast Guard and other rescue teams have reached the spot and are rescuing the passengers. According to media reports, 21 people have been saved, while the bodies of the dead are being taken out. Along with this, the people injured in this tragic accident are being admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the report, at around 1 pm on Saturday afternoon, the speedboat operated by Ocean Pear Island Company was going towards An Thoi Port carrying tourists from a place named Hon May Rat. The boat capsized about 400 meters away from a place called Rat Ngwai in Hon Me, about 25 kilometers from Phu Quoc Airport. Local officials said that all the people on board the boat fell into the sea.

“In a tragic incident, a boat carrying Indian tourists has capsized near Phu Quoc island in Vietnam,” the Indian Embassy said in a statement on social media platform X. Control rooms have been set up at the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and the Indian Embassy in Hanoi to assist Indian citizens. The embassy said that people can contact these control rooms for any kind of assistance or information.
