‘Vijay will lose…’ Fan broken by rumor, throat slit, now TVK on the way to bumper victory in Tamil Nadu

Vijay, who has been ruling South Cinema for almost 36 years, has entered the electoral fray with his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The huge crowd gathered at his rallies and road shows had already made it clear how tremendous is his popularity among the public.

But before the election results, an incident came to light which surprised everyone. A die-hard fan of Vijay tried to commit suicide out of fear that his favorite star’s party might lose the elections.

According to reports, this fan is 28-year-old Mahendran, who is a resident of Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. It is being told that before the counting of votes, a rumor had spread in the area that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam may lose in this assembly election. Mahendran became so upset by this news that he decided to commit suicide.

It was told that Mahendran was standing outside his house and had a knife in his hand. Suddenly he tried to commit suicide by slitting his throat. People present nearby immediately stopped him and took him to Krishnagiri Government Medical College and Hospital in critical condition, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police investigation revealed that rumors about TVK’s defeat were spreading rapidly in many areas of Krishnagiri, due to which Mahendran had become mentally disturbed. This incident has once again raised the question to what extent is the passion for any leader or star justified.

However, the initial trends of vote counting seem to be completely contrary to Mahendran’s fears. Out of 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is seen leading in about 112 seats. Whereas AIADMK alliance is leading on 75 seats and DMK alliance is leading on 50 seats.
