Violence weakens the movement, right to peaceful protest in democracy: Education Minister Ashish Sood

Regarding the protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi’s Education Minister said that everyone has the right to express their views, but violence harms the purpose of any movement. He appealed to the students and protesters to raise their voice within the limits of the set rules.

Knews Desk- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood has reacted to the ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar. He said that in democracy every person has the right to express his views and put forward his demands. Having different views is the hallmark of a strong democracy, but violence weakens any movement.

Ashish Sood said that non-violence was used as a big weapon even in the country’s freedom movement. He said that the youth have every right to raise their issues, but it is necessary to follow the rules and limits set for the demonstration.

He said that the police, administration and central government are keeping an eye on this entire matter and investigation is also being done. Students should present their views strongly, but should adopt such a method that the problem can be solved.

The Education Minister said these things during a program where the education system and the future of students were discussed.

Action will be taken against those who commit irregularities in the examination

Regarding the examination system, Ashish Sood said that the government is working to provide equal opportunities to the students. He said that those who indulge in tampering or irregularities in any examination will not be spared. Such people will be identified and strict action will be taken against them.

Referring to competitive examinations like NEET, he said that all students should get equal opportunity. If any mistake or negligence is found then it will be rectified as per the process.

Responsibility of students of government and private schools

Speaking on the education system of Delhi, Ashish Sood said that children studying in both government and private schools are the responsibility of the government. He said that the focus is on providing better environment and new opportunities for education to the students.

He said that private schools operating in Delhi will have to follow the rules of the government and the interests of the public. However, if any school has any problem or suggestion then it can put forward its views on the appropriate platform.
