New Delhi. Virender Sehwag, famous for his aggressive batting and outspoken style on the cricket field, is now going to play a new role in the world of entertainment. Sehwag will be seen hosting the reality show 'Rise and Fall'. The show will not be a game of ball and bat like cricket, but will be a test of strategy and psychology between contestants with different thinking and temperament. Sehwag said that his experience of working with different types of players and people in cricket for almost 20 years will prove to be very helpful in hosting this show.

Had refused to host earlier
Sehwag told that when he got the offer to host the show for the first time, he flatly refused to do it. He said that he felt that he could not host such a show. However, in the second meeting, the makers showed him some clips of the show and explained that he did not need to copy any other host. According to Sehwag, the makers told him that he has to remain in his natural style like on the cricket field. Besides, assurance of cooperation of the entire team was also given during the recording. He liked this thing and agreed to the show.
Liked the concept of 'rich and poor'
Sehwag said that he found the show's rich and poor concept most interesting. He told that even during cricket commentary, he has often talked about the differences between different teams and players. However, he also clarified that sports and entertainment are two different fields, but the experience of understanding people comes in handy in both. According to Sehwag, if he hosts the show in his own style then the audience can also get to see something different.
Experience of 20 years of cricket career will come in handy
Giving the example of his cricket career, Sehwag said that it is not possible to play the same way in every situation on the field. He told that in Test cricket many times defense had to be done to save the team, whereas in ODI also the pace of the innings had to be slowed down according to the circumstances.
According to him, something similar happens in dealing with humans also. Every person's nature is different. Some are angry, some remain calm, some talk lovingly and some behave aggressively. In such a situation, it is important to understand the person in front and behave accordingly.
Will adopt psychology formula to understand the contestants
Sehwag described 'Rise and Fall' as a kind of psychology. He said that while being in the cricket team, he has had the experience of understanding the thinking and behavior of different players and this experience will now be useful with the contestants of the show. He said that by observing the behavior of the contestants, he will try to understand how to talk to which person and what strategy should be adopted in different situations.
First we will explain with love, if necessary we will also scold
Regarding his hosting style in the show, Sehwag said that in the beginning he will try to make the contestants understand with love. If necessary, you can even scold them. He told that he would not have any such script which he would have to recite in front of the camera by heart. He will express his views according to the person and situation present in front of him.
Option of strict action for breaking rules
According to Sehwag, the contestants in the show will have to follow the set rules and limitations. They have to understand the task and avoid abusing or unnecessarily fighting with each other. He said that if any contestant does not follow the rules despite repeated explanations, the host will have the right to send him out of the show. Sehwag said that he will definitely give one or two chances first, but will also take strict action if necessary.
Sehwag also spoke on the increasing trend of reality shows
On the increasing popularity of reality shows, Sehwag said that only the producer, director and channel of the show can give a better answer to this question, because he himself has not seen many reality shows. He told that he mostly watches singing and dancing shows and has also participated in them as a guest. According to Sehwag, even in the world of entertainment, some concepts become trends with time and then other people also start working on similar ideas.
