New Delhi: In the early days of October, rain drenched people, but now the weather in North India has started changing gradually. After the rains stopped in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, mild cold has started being felt in the morning and evening. At the same time, due to snowfall in the hilly areas, there are signs of falling temperature in the plain states also. In such a situation, the question is whether this time winter will trouble people or will the weather remain warmer than normal?
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR for the next seven days?
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Delhi on October 19 can be around 18 to 20 degrees and the maximum temperature can be around 31 to 33 degrees Celsius. On October 18, the maximum temperature of the capital was recorded at 31.7 degrees and the minimum temperature was 18.6 degrees.
According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain mainly dry in the plains of North India from October 18 to 24. At present there is less possibility of rain in Delhi-NCR. There may be a feeling of mild cold in the morning and evening and heat during the day.
Snowfall in the mountains, tourists will feel the cold
The weather is becoming cold due to snowfall and rain in the high altitude areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. The impact of the weather is visible in the higher reaches of Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag of Uttarakhand along with tourist places like Shimla, Kufri, Manali and Lahaul-Spiti. Cold is increasing in many areas including Gulmarg of Jammu and Kashmir. Tourists are advised to carry warm clothes amid the changing weather in the mountains.
According to weather forecasts, this time the temperature in the plains of North India may remain above normal. In such a situation, it is expected that there will be fewer days of severe cold and cold wave. The potential impact of El Nino could also affect winter weather. However, it would not be right to make definite claims about the entire winter right now.
Rain continues in South India
While the weather has started clearing up in North India, rain may continue in parts of South India. There is a possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh and some areas of Karnataka till October 21. Coastal Karnataka may also receive rain between October 20 and 24. This means that the weather patterns will remain different in different parts of the country at present.
