Sukesh Chandrashekhar is accused of extorting around Rs 200 crore from the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh while in jail. During the investigation of this case, his Bollywood connections also came before the investigating agencies. ED had interrogated Nora Fatehi regarding the case. Nora claimed that she was invited to a program by Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife. According to Nora, she was given expensive gifts in return for her performance.
During the interrogation, questions were also raised regarding the alleged expensive gifts received from Nora. In these, mention of luxury items like BMW car and Gucci bag came to light. Nora, on her part, said that she had nothing to do with Sukesh’s alleged criminal network and when she suspected something was wrong, she distanced herself from him. Sukesh alleged that he had given crores of rupees to Nora to help her buy a house in Casablanca, Morocco. He accused Nora of being jealous of his relationship with Jacqueline Fernandes.
