The Democratic Party has secured majority in the Senate and House of Representatives. Now the control of the American Congress i.e. Parliament has shifted from Republicans to Democrats. The Democratic Party has so far won 228 seats in the House of Representatives. This is 10 seats more than the majority figure. The results of 68 seats are yet to come. Meaning the number of Democrats may increase further. Trump's party Republicans have been reduced to 139 seats. At the same time, Democrats have control over 54 seats of the Senate. Whereas Republicans are reduced to 44 seats.
