During the program organized in Pune, Rahul Gandhi talked to the students on issues related to education, women's freedom and tribal students. Congress claims that the Pune program was very successful and its videos were also discussed on social media.
According to party sources, apart from Pune, Nagpur and Latur have also been selected for student dialogue in Maharashtra. The event has been organized in Pune, while the date of event in Nagpur and Latur is awaited.
The political importance of this program is also considered to be very high regarding Nagpur. Nagpur is considered the stronghold of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as it is the headquarters of the organization. In such a situation, if Rahul Gandhi organizes 'Students' Echo' program here, then BJP and RSS may also come under his target.
In Pune, Rahul Gandhi has already targeted BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS and Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat in the context of Manusmriti. In such a situation, if the program is held in Nagpur, Congress can use it as a platform to carry forward ideological and political debate along with student issues.
