TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has removed senior woman MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastikar from the post of chief whip of the party in the Lok Sabha. Now this responsibility has been given to Kalyan Banerjee in his place. Mamata Banerjee took this decision at a meeting of party MPs in Kalighat. On the other hand, the Central Government has provided Y Plus category security to MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastikar.
The friendship between Kakoli Ghosh and Mamata Banerjee dates back to the 1970s. Both of them started their political journey from student politics. Kakoli Ghosh is currently the national president of All India Trinamool Mahila Congress. Kakoli Ghosh, educated from Kolkata Medical College, is a doctor by profession and a three-time MP.

Is Kakoli Ghosh angry?
After being removed from the post of Chief Whip, Kakoli Ghosh Dastikar wrote on Facebook, ‘Acquainted since 1976, have been walking together since 1984. Today I was rewarded for four decades of loyalty. Let us tell you that on one hand Mamata Banerjee removed him from the post of Chief Whip and on the other hand the Central Government has given him Y Plus category security.
This step was taken when the BJP government of West Bengal is continuously reducing the security of TMC leaders. Recently the security of Abhishek Banerjee has also been reduced. However, it is not yet clear why the Center has increased the security of Kakoli?

Kalyan Banerjee had stepped down from Mahua after the dispute
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee’s Mahua is not related to Moitra. Last year some messages reportedly also went viral. Kalyan Banerjee was removed from the post of Chief Whip after the controversy became public. Kakoli Ghosh Dastikar, who was the then deputy leader of the TMC parliamentary party in the Lok Sabha, was made the Chief Whip.
