World’s second richest country among most searched international destinations by Vietnamese for National Day holiday

The city-state, ranked the world’s second-richest country by GDP per capita in 2025, is introducing a range of new and seasonal experiences to give Vietnamese travelers more options for a short getaway.

Among the attractions highlighted by Singapore Tourism Board is Lilytopia 2026, an annual floral showcase at Gardens by the Bay featuring thousands of lilies set against Mediterranean-inspired landscapes and curated garden installations.

Running from Aug. 21 to Sept. 27, the exhibition offers a seasonal highlight within the Flower Dome’s year-round program of floral displays.

Another option is the Green-House Festival 2026 at Temasek Shophouse, a free three-day event centered on the theme “living light.” Running from Aug. 28 to 30, the festival will invite visitors to explore Singapore’s coral reefs through hands-on Reef Missions activities, encouraging children, parents and ocean enthusiasts to turn what they learn into action.

Singapore recorded 9.8 million international visitors in the first seven months this year, a 1.9% year-on-year decline.

Vietnam’s National Day holiday will last five days, from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2.
