Mohanlalganj. On the occasion of National Deworming Day, a health awareness campaign was conducted in various council schools of the area on Monday. Under the campaign, children were given deworming medicine Albendazole to protect them from stomach worms. Teachers made children aware of the importance of medicines and regular health care.
Albendazole medicine was administered to 59 students under the supervision of Principal Anil Kumar Verma in primary school Gumanikheda. He told the children that stomach worms can have adverse effects on their health and physical development. Consumption of deworming medicines not only helps in preventing worm infection but also helps in reducing problems like malnutrition and anemia.
In the school, children were lined up and given medicine in a systematic manner. Assistant teachers Vandana Yadav, Ram Kumari and Jyoti Patel cooperated in the program. Teachers also gave necessary information related to medicine consumption to the children.
In the same sequence, Albendazole medicine was administered to 311 children in Basic School Karora, 58 in Primary School Karora-2 and 45 in Primary School Achalikheda. Thus, a total of 473 children in all four schools consumed deworming medicine.
The teachers appealed to the parents not to be careless about the health of their children and cooperate in the campaigns run by the health department. Villagers and parents also appreciated the health awareness program organized in schools.
