Describing the inauguration of the corridor as a historic moment for the development of the state, the CM expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. He said that this corridor will not only ease the movement, but will also play an important role in taking the woodwork of Saharanpur, sports goods of Meerut and products of regional farmers to the global markets through the national capital. The project realizes the government’s vision of ‘double engine’ development by creating new opportunities for industrial development, investment and employment in the region.

The Chief Minister said that with the construction of this economic corridor, the journey from Saharanpur to Delhi and Dehradun can be completed quickly, which will give a new impetus to the connectivity and economic development of the region.
State’s products will have access to global markets
The Chief Minister said that through this corridor, various products made in Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Baghpat including woodwork of Saharanpur will get a new impetus. Just as Meerut is the center of sports goods manufacturing, this area belongs to hardworking Annadata farmers. The government is promoting the production of sugarcane, fruits, vegetables and various food grains in this area. Now, in the form of this economic corridor, an excellent medium is being provided to transport all these products to the global markets through the national capital. The model of development, good governance and service that New India is establishing under the leadership of the Prime Minister can also be seen through this Economic Corridor.

Special functions will be organized in honor of great men
The Chief Minister said that today’s occasion is very important for all of us. Today is the 135th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution who brought social justice to the ground in India. Through the Constitution, he laid the foundation of a strong India by giving equal rights to every citizen of the country, whether of any caste, any sect, resident of any area, male, female, elderly or young. Expressing his gratitude towards Baba Saheb, the Prime Minister got ‘Panchteerth’ built in the country. With his inspiration, our government has also decided that wherever statues of great men who pioneered social justice including Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Sadhguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, Maharishi Valmiki are installed, if there is no boundary wall or roof over the statue, then the government will complete these works by providing necessary funds. This work is about to start. This honor takes forward the Prime Minister’s resolve of ‘Ek Bharat – Shrestha Bharat’ by uniting the coming generations.
There is no dilemma in carrying forward the biggest infrastructure projects.
The Chief Minister said that today Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a new center of security, good governance, infrastructure, employment and investment. The power of ‘double engine’ government is clearly visible today. Be it Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh or Delhi, now there is no dilemma in taking forward the biggest infrastructure projects. Today a university has been established in Saharanpur in the name of Mother Shakumbhari. An airport including civil terminal is being constructed in Sarsawa. Now, if any youth of Saharanpur wants to make his career in films, then the construction of Film City in Jewar is also progressing rapidly. This field is also a powerful medium to present one’s talent to the society.
Those who divide society cannot think about development

The Chief Minister said that when development takes place, its impact is clearly visible. I was seeing how grand the Maa Shakumbhari Corridor is becoming. Just before Navratri I came to inspect it. This is possible only when there is a government which both preserves the heritage and takes forward the development works without stopping, without wavering, without getting tired. Those who work to divide the society, in the name of caste, in the name of familyism, who spread animosity, can never think of development. Expecting from those who divided the society, who believe in anarchy, who created a crisis on the identity of the state, patronized mafias and promoted riots and curfew, that they will bring development, provide employment to the youth or work for the farmers, is a daydream in itself.
Emphasis on developing clusters
CM Yogi said that the government has given instructions to develop strong industrial and housing clusters in Saharanpur, Meerut and Baghpat. This will create employment opportunities on a large scale. This will help in taking the agricultural products here not only to the country’s capital Lucknow and the national capital Delhi, but also to the global markets by connecting them to the Ganga Expressway. With this, our Annadata farmers will get better prices for their products.
Pace of development and preservation of heritage
The Chief Minister said that today on the holy birth anniversary of Baba Saheb, the people of Saharanpur and the people of Western Uttar Pradesh are getting this corridor from the blessings of the Prime Minister. Earlier this route used to be very difficult. This route connected to the place of Daat Kali Maa was often blocked. During rainy days, the entire traffic came to a standstill. People of Dehradun were not able to come here and people of other districts including Saharanpur were not able to reach Dehradun through this route. They had to resort to the Haridwar route. That is why today we have all gathered here to express our gratitude to the Prime Minister. The double engine government will continue to move forward without stopping, without wavering and without getting tired, taking both the pace of development and preservation of heritage together.
On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary, Organization General Secretary Dharampal, Minister in-charge Sunil Sharma, Minister of State for Public Works Department Kunwar Brajesh Singh, Minister of State for Industrial Development Jaswant Singh Saini and other public representatives were present.
