According to a report by Cricbuzz, CSK’s star fast bowler Khalil Ahmed has been ruled out of the remaining matches of IPL 2026. Franchise CEO Kashi Vishwanathan has confirmed this to Cricbuzz.

According to reports, the 28-year-old left-arm fast bowler suffered an injury at the end of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, during which he was seen holding his thighs. In this match against KKR, Khalil could not even complete the last ball of his four over spell, after which Gurjapneet Singh completed his over.

CSK’s concern increased

The injury of fast bowler Khalil Ahmed is said to be serious due to which he has been ruled out of this entire season. The franchise has already lost Nathan Ellis due to injury, while Spencer Johnson, who was included as his replacement, has also not been able to join the team yet due to his injuries.

Regarding Khaleel’s replacement, Vishwanathan said that the decision regarding which player will be taken in his place will be taken after consulting captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and head coach Stephen Fleming.
