Jharkhand: Conspiracy to smuggle 9 minors foiled, girls being taken to Gujarat-Tamil Nadu rescued by police

Chakradharpur: In West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, the vigilance of the police has once again saved the future of innocent children from darkness. In the operation conducted under the leadership of Chakradharpur police station in-charge Awadhesh Kumar, 4 minor boys and 5 minor girls were rescued from the trap of human traffickers.

Smuggling conspiracy exposed

Human traffickers were taking children by luring them with good jobs. According to the information, four boys were being taken to Gujarat and five girls were being taken to Tamil Nadu in the name of employment in a company. During intensive investigation at Chakradharpur railway station, the police became suspicious of these children. The entire plan of the smugglers was foiled due to the intelligence of the police.

In this rescue operation, the team of Chakradharpur Police Station, Mahila Police Station, Railway Protection Force, Child Helpline, District Child Protection Unit, Karra Society for Rural Action Ranchi, CWC and DLSA worked together. On the instructions of Child Welfare Committee officer Punita Tiwari, a special raid was conducted in the station premises.

The police took the children under their protection in time. All the children were sent to Bal Kunj and Chhaya Girls Home in coordination with the Child Welfare Committee. There his care and further legal process is being completed.
