A massive fire broke out at a petrol pump in Pachor, Rajgarh; 13 people burnt, tanker and 15 bikes destroyed

Rajgarh: A tragic accident took place late night on Monday (11 May 2026) in Pachor city of Rajgarh district. A sudden fire broke out at the Chunnalal-Munnalal petrol pump located in the middle of the city. Within no time the flames engulfed the entire complex. In this accident, 13 people got burnt while a tanker full of fuel and about 15 bikes were burnt to ashes. The fire was so terrible that there was panic in the entire area.

Accident happened while emptying fuel from tanker 

According to media reports, a tanker carrying 20 thousand liters of petrol and diesel had reached the pump at night. Fuel was being emptied from the tanker and at the same time many people were filling their vehicles with oil. Then suddenly a fire broke out. Within a few seconds the fire took a huge form and the tanker, bikes and pump complex started burning.

People left their bikes and ran to save their lives. 

The fire spread so fast that people did not even get time to remove their vehicles. People left their bikes there and ran here and there to save their lives. Eyewitnesses said that within a few minutes the entire petrol pump had turned into a big ball of fire. Amidst the screams, everyone was running towards a safe place.

Condition of 5 critical, admitted to hospital 

13 people burnt in the accident were immediately taken to the hospital. Balram Gurjar of Old Pachor has been badly burnt. After first aid, he was referred to District Hospital Rajgarh. Some seriously injured have also been sent to Shajapur. The process of arrival of the injured in the hospital continued till late night.

Fire brigade brought it under control in 45 minutes. 

It is noteworthy that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and administration reached the spot. Nearby roads were closed for safety reasons. Fire engines were also called from Pachor and surrounding areas. The fire could be controlled after about 45 minutes of hard work. It was fortunate that the fire was extinguished in time, otherwise huge damage could have been caused. At present, investigation is going on to find out the cause of the fire.
