Himanta Biswa Sarma took oath as the Chief Minister of Assam for the second consecutive time, the new cabinet also took the responsibility.

Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma as the Chief Minister of Assam for the second consecutive time. A grand swearing-in ceremony was organized on this occasion, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Ministers of many BJP ruled states were present.

After the swearing-in, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Himanta Biswa Sarma and wished him all the best for his new tenure. A large number of party workers and supporters were also present at the function.

New faces to take oath as ministers

After the Chief Minister took oath, the ministers of the new cabinet of Assam also took the oath of office and secrecy. Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to the newly elected MLAs.

During this, Rameshwar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro and Ajanta Neog took oath as ministers and assumed their responsibilities in the new government.

Under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP has formed the government in Assam for the second consecutive time. It is believed that the new government will pay special attention to development works and strengthening the infrastructure in the north-eastern states.

With the swearing-in ceremony, the tenure of the new government has started in the state, and now all eyes are on the upcoming decisions and policies.
