digital desk- Congress leader and AICC in-charge of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Kanhaiya Kumar, during a press conference, has made an all-out attack on the Modi government at the Center regarding the country’s education system, continuous paper leaks and unemployment. Kanhaiya Kumar alleged that today under the rule of the ‘Parchi wale Prime Minister’, education has been made a ‘product’ (commercial item), due to which the common man of the country has lost faith in the entire system and the future of the students has gone into complete darkness.

‘The government that steals votes steals papers’

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s old statement, Kanhaiya Kumar said, “Narendra Modi had given the statement that we are not Harvard people, but hard workers. Now the country is seeing that it is because of their hard work that the papers of every examination are getting leaked. The thing is very clear – the government which ‘steals votes’ will steal the papers.” He further said that in the government where the top people do not even know the ‘E’ of ‘Education’, instead of solving the basic problem, they leave new excuses for things like banning Telegram.

Scientist described as ‘pilot’ in Odisha’s syllabus, demand to ban NTA

Giving an example of negligence in the education system of the country, Kanhaiya Kumar said that a famous scientist has been written as ‘Pilot’ in the syllabus of Odisha, whereas during an examination in Rajasthan, students were directly given answer sheets instead of question papers. He said that today questions are being raised on examinations like NEET and the country’s most prestigious UPSC. Kanhaiya Kumar demanded that to stop rigging like paper leaks, the government should immediately ban the National Testing Agency (NTA) instead of targeting apps like Telegram.

PM who ‘discusses exam’ remains silent on paper leak

Questioning the Prime Minister’s silence, Kanhaiya Kumar said that the PM who arranges big stages every year and pretends to ‘discuss the examination’ with the students, does not speak a single word on a serious and sensitive issue like ‘paper leak’ which is ruining the future of lakhs of youth of the country. He asked that when crores of educated youth are roaming unemployed in the country, then how will the government make the country a ‘developed India’ by keeping people uneducated?

Instead of taking responsibility, BJP is asking questions to Rahul Gandhi

Clarifying the opposition’s stand, Kanhaiya Kumar said that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has made it clear that Congress does not want to do any politics on the issue of education. Today every parent in the country is scared and due to the ineffectiveness of the examination system, students are suffering from severe depression (stress). Attacking BJP, he said that instead of taking responsibility for their failure, the people sitting in the government are asking wrong questions to the opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. Kanhaiya Kumar asked in a sharp tone, “Is there a Congress government at the Centre? When we raise our voice in favor of the youth, we are accused of politics. Modi government should answer whether leaking papers in the country is an act of patriotism?”
