Heli-air tourism started in Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary launched Patna Joy Ride!
Taking the initiative to give a new direction to tourism in Bihar, CM Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday launched ‘Patna Joy Ride’ under ‘Chief Minister Bihar Heli-Tourism and Air Tourism Service Scheme-2026’. On this occasion, the Chief Minister formally launched the scheme by providing tickets to the tourists going on the helicopter joy ride. He also inaugurated the newly constructed hangar of Bihar Flying Institute located at Patna Airport complex.
During the program, CM Samrat Chaudhary presented certificates to four candidates who obtained Commercial Pilot License (CPL) – Captain Kumar Dhairya, Captain Genius Vivek, Captain Karan Kumar Bharti and Captain Sonal Man Singh and wished them for their bright future.
He said that the Bihar government wants the youth of the state to move forward in a modern and promising field like aviation and showcase their talent at the national and international level. The Chief Minister said that through Heli-Tourism and Air Tourism Service Scheme, tourists will get a unique opportunity to see the aerial view of historical, religious, cultural and natural places of Bihar. This will boost tourism activities in the state, attract investment and create new employment opportunities at the local level.
He said that the state government is continuously working to strengthen the infrastructure of civil aviation and tourism sector. Initiatives like the new hangar of Bihar Flying Institute and heli-tourism are important steps towards giving the state a new identity in the field of aviation and tourism. He expressed confidence that these schemes will attract more and more tourists from India and abroad towards Bihar.
Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Tourism Minister Kedar Prasad Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Lokesh Kumar Singh, Civil Aviation Department Secretary Nilesh Ramchandra Devde, Patna Zone Inspector General of Police Jitendra Rana, Tourism Department Director Udayan Mishra, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation Limited Managing Director Nand Kishore, Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K were present in the program. Many senior officials including Sharma and tourists participating in the helicopter joy ride were present.
