The administration is gearing up to ensure the successful completion of the festivals of Shravan month.

With the aim of conducting the major festivals and religious events falling during the upcoming Shravan month in a peaceful, safe and orderly manner, a comprehensive review meeting of law and order and preparations was organized under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Isha Priya in the presence of Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh and other concerned officials in the auditorium of Medical College Sadarpur.
In the meeting, the District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to ensure all necessary arrangements in time, keeping in view the huge crowd of devotees at Shivalayas, temples and Kanwar routes during the month of Shravan. He directed all the departments related to law and order, traffic management, cleanliness, drinking water, electricity supply, lighting, health services, fire fighting, veterinary medicine, road repair and disaster management to work with mutual coordination.
The District Magistrate said that special monitoring should be kept on the safety of devotees and sensitive places and all departments should maintain full alertness and readiness to deal with any emergency. He directed the officers to conduct on-site inspection of all the arrangements and remove the deficiencies immediately and ensure that the general public does not face any kind of inconvenience.


On this occasion, the District Magistrate gave instructions to ensure all necessary arrangements related to electrical safety on the electric poles and transformers located along the roads and to repair the bent electric poles and loose wires. He directed to ensure daily garbage collection in all municipal bodies. All executive officers and block development officers were directed to take special care of cleanliness at the camp sites during the Kavad Yatra. He instructed all the executive officers and block development officers to make effective arrangements for cleanliness as well as to prevent slipping at the temples in their area. Instructed the Food Safety Department to take regular enforcement action to ensure the quality of food items.
In the meeting, Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh gave necessary guidelines regarding security arrangements, traffic control and crowd management. He instructed the police officers to ensure deployment of adequate police force at sensitive places, regular patrolling and constant monitoring. He instructed all the DJ operators to ensure literal compliance with the instructions and conditions issued by the police department. Instructions were given to ensure availability of sailors, boats and divers on the spot for water safety along with lighting arrangements on the river ghats.
Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Jyotsna Bandhu, all Sub-District Magistrates, area officers, police station in-charges, executive officers, officials of Electricity Department, Public Works Department, Animal Husbandry Department and other related departments and distinguished citizens and DJ operators etc. were present in the meeting.
