New Delhi, 25 July. Cabinet Minister Pralhad Joshi, who took additional charge of the Education Ministry on Saturday night after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET-UG controversy, has said that he will fulfill his responsibility with full dedication and will try to live up to the expectations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Expressing his gratitude to PM Modi, Prahlad Joshi said, ‘I accept this responsibility with a sense of duty and humility. I am grateful to the Prime Minister. Whatever responsibility has been given to me, I will try my best to live up to the expectations of the Prime Minister. He said that under the guidance of PM Modi, he will try to do better work to the best of his ability and will fulfill the responsibilities of the Education Ministry with full devotion.
Referring to the last 12 years of Modi government’s tenure, Joshi said that during this period many historic achievements have been achieved in the country. He also praised the tenure of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and said that in the last four-five years, Dharmendra Pradhan took many important initiatives including implementing the National Education Policy and the country has made significant progress in the new education system.
Prahlad Joshi is a big face of BJP
It is noteworthy that Prahlad Joshi has been active in Karnataka politics for a long time. He has been representing the Dharwad Lok Sabha seat since 2004. For the first time in 2004, he contested the Lok Sabha elections from this seat and reached Parliament by defeating BS Patil of Congress. After this he continuously strengthened his political hold. He has also held the responsibility of State President of Karnataka BJP from 2014 to 2016.
Joshi’s political journey has also been associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He came into limelight after the movement for hoisting the tricolor at Idgah ground in Hubli between 1992 and 1994. In his early political career, he also led the ‘Save Kashmir Movement’.
